T&C 96....turn signal problem

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Richard Coyle, Jan 15, 2004.

  1. Folks:

I've got a 96 Town and Country. The turn signals don't work at all, on
either side. The hazard lights work just fine, though, and the rest of the
functions on the stalk also work. I figure it is worth looking for a fuse
problem, but I can't figure out which fuse I should be looking at.
According to the manual, there is no one fuse assigned to the turn signals.
Can someone point me to the proper fuse or relay? I know this vehicle has
    two separate fuse boxes.

Am I on the right track here?

    Thanks in advance.

Could be the flasher unit has gone bad...

  3. But if that were the case, would the flashers for the hazard lights still
    work??

    2 separate flasher units.

they both share the same flasher and a noise was added to it for the older
    folks.
there is two fuses for that circuit and one is the #6 a 40 amp and #15 a 20
amper under the hood then a 10 amper in the junction box under the dash then
goes to a comb flasher and multi function switch then through the bcm so you
    need to check fuses first

  6. Could you elaborate on that a bit? In my owners manual, the #6 slot under
the hood is a 15amp fuse for the left low beam headlight, and the #15 slot
    is labeled #EATX for a 20amp fuse.
