Ok, I hope someone will give me advice because I tried almost
everything. I have 95 Stratus ES. I experience intermittent erratic
idle (surging up and down - not only at idle speeds) and my car looses
power from time to time and I have to jump on the gas, push the pedal
for 3-4 second and then it revs up. I've experienced the problem for
more then 1.5 years. I had enough. I have had my injection system
cleaned, throttle body cleaned, TPS replaced, EGR hose replaced (and
the EGR system checked), I have brought the car to the dealer (advised
injection service and throttle body service and possibly change the
MAP sensor). The only thing I have not done so far is to replace the
map sensor. I have no codes at all. The only one was 32 - EGR malfunc.
but this was probably due to cut hose (replaced now). ANY suggestions
why I have intermittent surging and power loss? What else should I
    try?

    Thanks

    Is this the 2.5L V6?

I once had some trouble with a rough and uneven idle in N and P that was
better in D or R. In D or R you naturally have your foot on the brake.

Somehow (I forgot the logic) it was traced to a master cylinder power
brake vacuum leak, I think. Replacing the cylinder fixed it. I think a
vacum leak makes the mixture too lean.

But the problem was not as severe as you describe. It was the 2.5L v6
though. Maybe your dealer should check this.

dan try tapping on the egr valve. see if it clears up your idle condition.
also try cleaning your throttle body and reseting your computer memory by
disconnecting battery while you do the job.
    good luck bryan

if you have the 4cylindre have someone test the egr valve properly they
    leak internally
