shift silenoid on 02 pt criser

    hey guys i have a 02 p cruiser that broke down obn me yesterday when
    the check engine kight came on i had a diagnostic check it said the it
    was the shift selinoid. can any one tell me how to find it and how to
    replace it? it wont shift out of first gear. is there a way that i can
    replace it myself or does it need to be taken to a dealer? thanks for
    all your help
