I have read that 4g54 was used in minivans as fwd and small trucks as rwd. Also while searching for p.c.v. location I found this posting:
Astron I engines didn't have a Positive crank ventilation Valve, they just ran a pipe from the front of the rocker cover into the air filter with NO valve. The Astron II rocker cover has a PCV valve on the front, which is vented into the manifold after the carby/throttle body so it can pull a vacuum inside the engine.
Still other posts insist only forklifts and Australian vehicles had the 4g54. The above post sounds like what I see under MY hood -- a pipe running straight to the air cleaner, no valve.
How about a knowledgeable answer, no keyboard "I think this is truth so I INSIST it is in spite of evidence" commando crap? Anyone? 1987 Base model Mini Ram Van Mitsubishi 2.6L
