    Alright you guys,

The truth and nothing but the truth.
I have heard everything about the PT from all corners, to tell the truth I
can't tell what is the truth.

The real story on the PTCruiser -In Australian spec ,but still welcome all
    comments.

I have heard of the usual low power, front brake rotor, poor fuel consumption
    etc stories.

So take the gloves off and give me the dirt, I have been driving Holdens (
for non-aussies they are GM products) and expect to get 300k klm without
missing a beat, where can I expect to spend the hard earned if I jumo into a
    Cruiser?

Danny ... if You have to think about the pros and cons, I guess the PT isn`t
    made for You ... :)

Seriously ... fuel consumption is not as good as it probably could be (but
it is an american car so what do you expect?). I agree on the low power
thing, mine (2001/euro specs) has 143 horses moving 1.7 tons, while the
Neon I had before the PT had 136 horses moving 1.2 tons (both had a 2
litres engine). But on the other hand ... with the PT it`s not important to
go at 200 kph - remember, it`s a "Cruiser", so "cruising speed" is ok and
for emergency accelaration it has enough power. Also you get some great
loading capacity ... and - at least here in Germany - you join the group
of PT owners, that always signal each other when they meet on the road and
if 2 owners meet on a parking lot they are instant friends (like with
    bikers).

So if Your head says "no" and your heart says "yes" - follow your
    heart ... :)

Talk to you later ... Hans from Germany
