I am considering a Plymouth Breeze for my daughter to use for school.

I would like to ensure that it has the MLS headgasket installed. From
what I have been able to pick up from this NG, the new MLS headgasket
was phased in at the factory mid-way through the 1999 model year. Does
anyone know for sure which month this occured? If a dealer installed
the gasket on an earlier one, would it show up on the VIN record stored
    by Daimler-Chrysler?

Perhaps I should try to find a 2000, which was the last year, and
    should have the newer gasket.

I had this done on my 1998 by an independent shop, and it was a costly
repair. While I had an aftermarket service plan, it would not cover
shop supplies and some of the materials needed.

    Thanks,

    Kirk Matheson
