Funny how everyone disagrees with me.

All I know is I ride in a camry with the seat all the way back and my knees
either hit the dashboard (if I'm a passenger) or the steering wheel (if I'm
    driving.)

Now, a buddy of mine has a '95 Camry which seems to have a little more room
    on the passenger side.

Don't even think of squeezing me in the back seat.

I much prefer my midsize Chevy Avalanche!

  2. Well For 25 years that happened to me with my 38 inch inseam in every single
Ford car built, part of the reason I drive a truck...

Unfortunately some who need that F-150 carrying capacity a few times per
year use them full time, wasting fuel and blocking our view.

I'm 38" as well - 6'4" overall. I kind of enjoy watching my poor wife climb
into the Avalanche while I sit down into it. :p

That is in large part a function of our screwed up taxes and insurance.
I use my 7,000# truck for grocery shopping in large part because having
a second small car would cost me a fortune in extra taxes and insurance
vs. a very small fuel savings. Fortunately, the grocery store is a 6
mile round trip, and I work from home full time so it's not an issue
    anyway.

  6. I think Josh's point was that too many people buy large trucks for reasons
that make no sense, and "Just because I want one" makes no sense to the
welfare of the country as a whole. "I need to bring home sheets of plywood
or bales of peat moss sometimes" is bullshit, because you can rent a U-Haul
for $35.00, which is much cheaper than the gas you'll waste in a year with a
large truck. "It's safer to drive and better in snow" is bullshit.

But, the worst bullshit is seeing sending more, rather than less to Saudi
Arabia, whose government supports madrashes - schools that train aimless men
to become terrorists and kill Americans.

Can you elaborate on the part where I'm supposed to choose a vehicle to
buy based on whether I block your view? Taken at face value, it sounds
    ridiculous.

  12. That too. And, contribute huge sums of cash to projects like the George HW
Bush presidential library, to be sure nobody complains about the nasty
    stuff.

Jail them - hell - they beat them to within an inch of their life - if
they're lucky. They have to give the lashes in stages, otherwise
they've learned the hard way that the total number all at one time will
kill them. Isn't that kind of them.
