Jeep Liberty heater/AC blower runs only on high (# 4 setting)

    The blower runs only on high in my daughter's Jeep Liberty.
    Any ideas on the cause of this? Is it a part I could replace for her?

    Sounds like a classic blower motor resistor. Easy to replace on most
    vehicles; don't know about the Liberty.

    blower resistor is bad and its under the pass side dash 2 5/16 screws hold
    it in about 25 bucs at dealer of aftermarket

    The Liberty uses SAE fasteners?

    8mm is the same as 5/16 as far as sockets are concerned
