I own a 2003 Grand Caravan. If I decide to service my van at my own
mechanic, will I get hassled if go back for any warranty claims. Does
anybody have experienced with any of this before

No. Just keep written receipts, especially oil changes.

  3. You shouldn't get hassled, but that doesn't mean you won't. Probably
    fairly dealer dependent.

The dealer is the ONLY one that touches any of my cars in 20+ years. But then
I use a excellent Dodge dealer with a top-notch service department. Herb
Gordon Dodge, Silver Spring, Md. Jobs done right every time. Are they
expensive, yes. But, it's worth every penny!

In the USA, The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act offers consumer protection.
Your warranty cannot be voided by aftermarket parts or service unless
they are proven to cause the actual damage that you need warranty
service for, or the warranty clearly disclosed that such aftermarket
parts/service is not covered. You should be ok, but keep all of your
receipts and be prepared to assert your rights, if necessary.

  6. Keep lots of records on all the services performed. If you do have a
problem with the car that requires warranty coverage, Chrysler is going
to ask to see records that the car was properly maintained.

you don't have to go to a dealer to get normal maintenance but keep in
mind most things on your van doesn't need to be touched till 100k such as
    plugs
read the schedule in the owner manual
