Help!!!

    i have a 1984 Chrysler Lebaron and whenever i start it up, it whines. I
    changed the battery for fear that the alternator would go out but it
    still whines!! could it be a belt? too tight?
    HELP!!!!

    Check your power steering fluid, , , more pronounced when you turn the
    wheel... fluid could be low... no? ... could have a shorted diode in the
    alternator.

    You changed the battery because your car was whining? What kind of reasoning
    is that? As the other poster suggested, you should make sure you have enough
    power steering fluid. If it's not that, it's probably a bearing, either in
    an idler pully or the alternator. It's not an emergency just yet.

    thanks guys, i need all the advice that i can get!! ill check the fluid and
    if thats not it, ill check the alt. thanks again
