I'm still driving my '92 Dodge Dynasty with the 3.3-litre V6. I have
several other cars, some of which most people would consider "better"
than the Die-Nasty, but I drive the Dodge most often. It is
comfortable, has plenty of power, the A/C still blows cold, and it is
very economical. 140K miles and still going strong. Engine uses no
oil and I get 29 mpg on the freeway. Dealer replaced the tranny at 90K,
with all the most recent retrofits, and my co-pay was only $300. I
just don't understand people who bash Chrysler products. I have always
    had good luck with them.

I have an 88 New Yorker. 32 mpg on highway. Better mpg than my 300M

But at 17 years old, living in the rust belt, and 106,000 miles some
    things are getting tired.

Engine and tranny are fine. R-12 A/C is fine

exhaust pipe just before cat convertor seems to be burning out at clamp.
Numerous brake system issues over last year, rusted steel lines,
replaced rear caliper, parking brake cable issues, replace front brake
    hoses.

Rust out of underbody taking place at slowly accelerating pace
Droopy headliner, now held up by home depot plastic molding trim
Soft interior trim starting to loose its youth.
    seat cover wear
    power seat drive cable stripped.
head light doors quirky, don't always open when expected.
Waiting for dreaded rear factory air shocks to spring a leak.
    Rack a little sloppy

Great daily driver for mall rat sessions.
Great car for teenager driver training.
    Still passes a real inspection.

They don't make cars to last like this anymore...

I have an 88 Thunderbird, 212,000 miles, still get 26 mpg with a 5.0L HO.

I had a 1990 Taurus wagon, 452,418 miles when it died, around 26 mpg.

My current 94 LeBaron gets a consistent 28 mpg in the city, and has just
    over 123,000 miles.

I had a 2003 Chevy K1500 Silverado, and I put exactly 16.4 miles on it when
the brake light switch broke, and I got pulled over and ticketed.
It went back the following week.

Sounds like you have defective cops in your area to not give you a break
on that one (you know - inform you that your brakes aren't working so
you can go get them fixed.)! 8^)

If you hadn't mentioned the A/C, it sounds just like my '92 Dynasty.

The cops in Williamson county Texas aren't known for their understanding and
    forgiving..............

if you want the REAL extended K car, look for one of those Lebaron
limos. Always thought it would be cool to have one of those cuz they
are not expensive and for taking friends and relatives and coworkers to
lunch or dinner in, stuff like that, since it's still small enough to
park in a parking lot. Stick a tv in there, mini bar, fridge, the
    whole bit.
