Drive axle or Tranny?

My 91 Caravan has some problems with a shimmy on turns and that's why
I'm thinking drive axle, but my main problem is when I start out cold
in the morning. I'll back out of the garage and drive 2 blocks to the
first stop sign. I'll stop and then try to proceed and it feels like
the trans is slipping. I can see the rpms increase but no movement.
I'll let off the gas and start out slow and everything will be ok for
the rest of the day. This happens once everyday and the car will go
forever after that(Original trans and 95K). What do you experts think?

  2. "Both". Have the transmission serviced (CORRECT ATF+3 or +4 fluid only!)
    and diagnose the shimmy.
