Is was wandering how difficult and expensive it is to buy and replace one
drivers door and both rear sliding door actuators, passenger door one was
replaced when still under warranty. They lock and un-lock when ever they
want. I would'nt mind tearing into the doors and replacing them if it not to
hard to remove the door panels to get to them.

It only happens when parking and locking up the van.I hit the fob to lock
the doors and some doors won't lock If I keep hitting the fob enough times
usually the bad ones will lock after enough tries, the one that was already
replaced under warranty and never gives a problem. Just need help I trying
to replace them myself, how hard to remove door panels and the linkage in
the door and how much does the acuaters cost at the dealer and after market.
I disabled the autolock feature so it has nothing to do with the bcm parked
and engine off just locking up.

I have same problem with my 97 Grand caravan. I stopped using the key fob as
I wasn't sure if I locked the doors or not.

Its been awhile since I had a chance to work on the doors,I cleaned the
contacts on the door pillars and they been working great for about a week
now so for no more proplems with them, took about a minute each door and so
far so good no problems Thanks for the good advice.

Not on my 97GC, but on my older Caravan I had problems. I did the
cleaning trick on the contacts, but they evidently got corroded down deep,
and while I could make them work with a good polish, I ended up
replacing them for a permanent fix. It wasn't hard to do, if I remember
right, they just popped out and had a push on connector on the back.
