I firmly believe in trying herbals before pharmaceuticals, myself.

What you will have under Hilarycare is an 5c asperin that cost $4, as it
    does now under Medicare LOL

In the dialysis centers I've been in they try to get you to use Robaxin,
whatever the heck that is. Doesn't work at all on me, I actually cramp
    harder.

    Let's see.

    I've had cramps
    Hot flashes,
    they shaved my legs
If I have to start wearing a bra because my chest starts jiggling, I'm going
to know they want to get me ready for a sex change instead of a kidney
    transplant.

I guess the anti-spasmotic property is what they're going for, but there are
a lot of those. Robaxin must be particularly easy on the system. That's a
    really old drug.

Yes, I know. Big Pharma has managed to get it taken off the shelf 'cause
they couldn't patent it and charge 110 a month for it.

As Big Dan Teague said in O Brother Where Art Thou, "It's all about the
    money, boys."

We aim to please. Actually, there's no mystery about what happened.

Cramps is a normal occurance with dialysis patients. Dad used to wake up at
    3 am screaming in pain

Hot flashes, OTOH is a bit more difficult to explain. I've had them twice.
The first time, I'd managed to pass out and they put warm saline in me. The
second time was almost 2 years later. One day at work I just got a hot
    flash. . . .

They shaved my legs for the bypass surgery. And my chest, but I told them
it would be faster to pluck the 3 hairs on my chest.

The hormone they use to keep my blood up made Dad's chest tender, they had
to give him a mammogram, but they've changed something about it, and so far,
    no jiggle.

I kid the nurses about it. I keep telling them they're giving away all the
    secrets of being a lady. . . .

I read there has been some side effect issues. I believe it was the FDA
that put the breaks on it. I used it for night leg cramps. I found
that a couple of Tylenol work pretty well for me also.

Can't take Tylenol. And it didn't work for my leg cramps anyway. Neither
does Robaxin. I get so tired of the US Drug companies. Especially since
they started advertising prescription drugs (Thanks, Bill!) The present is
starting to look a lot like some of the dystopias I read about in Sci Fi
books as a kid. Don't like something? Take a pill.

Some people ARE overmedicated. On the other hand, there's been some
wonderful drugs that have been made available over the past 50 plus
years and has extended the lives of many people. Blood pressure
medicine is one area that comes to mind.

And I forgot, they made me wear support stockings after the heart bypass. I
figure the next thing is a garter belt and a bra, in black, of course.

I still think we're coming closer to the dystopia where everything you think
do and say is in the pill you took today. . . .

I've only heard of hormones causing gynecomastia (man-boobs). Hmmm

That's why they call it "practicing" medicine. You never learn it all.

Well Dad didn't 'develop' very far, but they got really tender for some
reason. I'd like to see the look on the face of the technician that had to
smash his tiny little man-boobs, usually it's a woman.
