Defective New Moog Tie Rod Ends?

I am wondering if I have defective new uninstalled Moog aftermarket
tie rod ends that I bought for a 94 Stealth R/T . I see small
surface cracks on the face and internal threads where the inner tie
rod bolts up. It looks like the machining was done too quickly and
over stressed the metal. The cracks are small and you must look
closely, but this doesn't look normal. I've always found Moog to be
high quality in the past. Comments?

Well, I returned the first set and the second set is somewhat
better. Either I am off base here or its a bad run of parts. Anyone
else notice rough machining and small surface cracking on an internal
thread or locknut face on a steering part?

Some MBA had them increase the machining speed until they got reports of
serious accidents, and then had them back off 3% on the machining speed.
Aftermarket doesn't need no stinking 6 sigma!!! :)
