Replace the vehicle's electronic speed sensor. About $30 at the dealer for
the part and a 15 minute job. It is in the transmission case and accessed
from under the vehicle. Locate it by following the electrical connection.
Some have two sensors an input and an output one. You want the output one
since it measures the output drive shaft revolutions (proportional to the
    vehicle's speed).

  3. Your output speed sensor is dead; replace it.
