air bag injuries due to propellant chemicals

  1. It's not against the law in PA to remove the airbags.

Ah, the true colors always show through eventually.

Which life are you on? Just trying to get a calibration here. :)

I don't think he was mean spirited. I think he simply used a humorous
means to make a fairly important point.

It would be nice if you would show us the courtesy to post in a
newsgroup dedicated to political/activist topics, rather than this one
which is specific to Chryslers. Airbag safety isn't unique to Chryslers
    insofar as I'm aware.

You really don't understand that English is read from left to right and
top to bottom? Do you read books backwards? Posting at the top
requires you to read the message backwards chronologically. This simply
isn't convention in the English speaking and reading world. And the
fact the this is the default in some newsreaders is not a reasonable excuse.

Which newsreader so you use? I use Netscape and it shows messages and
replies as they were made. To read the thread in order requires bottom
posting. Are you saying that your newsreader automatically moves a top
post to the bottom when it is viewed to allow the thread to remain in order?

    matt,

yes, and i always have preferred that... i use for this purpose Mozilla
thunderbird. if yall prefer i can go to outlook, outlook express.. let
me know.. i don't want this to be an issue when i am trying to talk
    about other matters..

    thank you.

matt, yes, i can read back and forth, up and down, and most of the time
i can and am allowed to read the ending of a book first. and if you
knew what you wrote to begin with then a reply at the top would make
sense, however, i will try to comply with everyones wwishes. and
Chrysler is aware of the airbag propellant problem, just ask Deadbeat,
he works there.. he won't tell you the truth.. i am not an ACTIVIST, i
am a researcher trying to better your planet.. (which one was it anyway?)

i am probably on the same life level as you are..

did you read your email first so that you could remember what you said
to me, so that my response would make sense?

I'm not familiar with Thunderbird, but I use Netscape which is Mozilla
based as well and it lets me select either top or bottom posting. I
suspect, but don't know for sure, that Thunderbird also is configurable.

No, you are someone who has too much time on their hands and thus looks
for trouble. And, I'm quite willing to look out for myself. Why do you
liberals feel compelled to "help" those of us who are more than willing
    to take responsibility for ourselves?

    Linda,
Just wanted to let you know that as of this moment I will stop being an
asshole. Or is it like being an alcoholic: Once an alcoholic, always an
    alcoholic?

Anyway - a few posts back it looked like you were coming on to Daniel
Stern. I thought that was pretty neat.

i do not know Daniel Stern.. i am in a happy contented relationship that
is very rewarding. i appreciate you acknowledging that you were an
asshole. i also appreciate you agreeing to stop. i can be a bit harsh
sometimes, especially since i have not gotten the thick skin that you
all seem to have. i am new at this. and i am honest in my desire to
learn. the DHMO thing was really demeaning and nasty. i am sincere. i
am honest, i am a nice person who does not deserve the treatment that
    some have given me.

p.s. Daniel, if i were trying to come on to you, believeme, you and
    everyone here would know it...:)

    http://www.autotheftexpert.com/air_bag_warnings.htm

please check out the website i listed above.. any fool can make a
website.. i know that... please read it, if you have time and tell me if
it is true... i may be naive' in a lot of things, but warning labels in
areas that are not seen are no good.. hell, my cigarettes have warning
labels on them, and i only smoke the ones that warn about pregnant
women, and low birth weights.. i figure i can't get pregnant anymore, so
these are the ones i smoke.. (this is supposed to be funny, in case some
of you have lost your sense of humor, or choose to make me the brunt of
    your jokes)..

    linda

p.s. i put the info at the bottom of the email for those who are more
concerned with that than the content of the message...

    thanks,

    linda

So, ever read the warnings about gasoline? Do you ride a bicycle due to
the dangers of breathing gas fumes as you fill up, of taking the risk of
fire as you refuel, or the risk of fire in an accident?

Do you take any prescription drugs? Do you read the warnings that come
    with them?

Do you go out in the sun? Do you realize how dangerous UV is?

Do you use make-up? Ever read what's in some of that stuff?

Do you use any household chemicals?

Oh, man. this is too, too funny on so many different levels that I'm not
even sure where to begin. It's Usenet Kabuki Theatre at its finest. Linda
has just learnt about airbag propellants and usenet, combines the two and
makes her first posts. Daniel responds to Linda with info. Bill uses the
old DHMO gag on Linda, who swallows it. Linda's never heard of Daniel
before, but picks up on Daniel's mention of headlamps and -- having just
learnt about Usenet -- offers her assistance with headlamp research.
Daniel politely declines Linda's offer, but Bill sees it as Linda coming
on to Daniel. Daniel doesn't see it as a come-on, because Daniel's a
member of the Homosexual Menace To Society who, in his committed
relationship with his other half of more than four years, works busily on
a daily basis to tear up the social fabric in accordance with Bill's
politics. Meanwhile, back on Usenet, Linda's amused and a little
embarrassed by Bill's perception, and takes great (but, as it turns out,
unnecessary) pains to assure Daniel she wasn't coming on to him. Daniel
chortles and wonders why everything's always about sex with heterosexuals
    like Bill.

This episode of Usenet Kabuki was brought to you by your Plymouth-DeSoto
dealer, the number "3" and the letter "Q". Tune in next week for another
    exciting episode!

well i guess you should stay away from a hospital when you get hurt since they
are just going to give you chemicals to make you better!!!
i recently had first hand experence of a airbag going off and i can say this for
sure! it saved my life so what little burn i recieved was well worth it

to answer you questions in one lump answer... I work in research, and am
probably partly responsible for a lot of the warnings that are on JUST
ABOUT EVERYTHING... i have worked in toxicology research for 30 years.
i know things that will scare the pants off you (and i am not wanting
you to take them off either!!!!!!)
now to individually answer your questions....
NOW that every pump has warnings located right there on the pumps (and
yes, i can read ( i do know the hazards NOW!!!)
i also know the risks of driving a car, driving and having an
accident...I KNOW THE RISKS, i was taught them in drivers ed and my step
father and mother taught me these things..
after today, i am getting some prescription drugs... yes, i do take
prescriptions and i am probably one of very few that actually read the
warnings (and contraindications) and even the chemical symbols.... and
if i don't know, don't understand, i talk to knowledgeable people, or at
least try to find helpful knowledgeable people, instead of assholes....
no, i try to avoid sun, after years of no one ever knowing the dangers
of sun or UV rays, i tend to have some form of precancerous skin
affliction. BUT NOW I KNOW, BECAUSE WE WERE MADE AWARE OF THESE
    THINGS (thankfully!)
i am a natural beauty and need no makeup... :) seriously, i don't wear
make up.... i have seen too many animals damaged by it.. that is why
there are WARNINGS ON LOTS OF THINGS>. and if you mention using products
NOT TESTED on animals, then you are delusional. the product itself may
not have been tested on animals, but the ingredients (STUFF IN THE
    MAKEUP) were!!!!!!!
are you serious? i don't clean house!!!!! i am a goddess... when my
house gets too dirty, i use one of my many gas hog vehicles and move...

yes, i clean house, but i try to stick to natural things.. baking soda,
    vinegar, elbow grease.......

Daniel, you are a hoot!!! and i mean that in the humorous sense of the
word... had i known you had THE "homosexual predilection", i would have
gone ahead and emailed privately to attain more knowledge from you
rather than have to go through all this bullshit.... but not wanting you
to think i had intentions on other things, i restrained myself... thank
god you are a human being. and do not let Bill being a heterosexual (i
am assuming) be an indication of all hetero's having only one thing on
their mind... sometimes we heteros like to be cuddled too... :)
i can't wait for the next episode...
p.s. i could say something about my two best friends being homosexual,
and i could tell you about the two lesbians that are upstairs visiting
my heterosexual son, but i won't... i don't make moves on them either...

  20. ....but it wouldn't make any difference, 'cause they and we are all -- wait
for it! -- human beings. I do wonder, though, how your alleged best
friends feel about your vote for a government that considers them less
    than equal.
