RE: 1995 Eagle Vision TSi 3.4 Liter, ABS and Traction Control with 116,000
    miles

I was driving from Northern NJ to Northern VA today through the heavy rain with
lots of deep puddles caused by melting snow.

I noticed that the orange "Traction Control OFF" and orange "ABS" lights above
the stereo came on for the first time and stayed on for the remaining 3 hours
and 160 miles. Later, when I started the car they were not on, but then came
    on.

What caused this? Was it a short due to going through the puddles? Does a relay
have to be reset or a fuse replaced?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE,

    Jimbo

Well, on my Vision (same year/engine/etc) I know that if the traction
control operates for a certain amount of time, it automatically shuts
off so nothing burns up or wears out. Have you tried to push the
traction control button to see if the light turns off? Now as far as
the ABS is concerned, that remains a mystery with me. I had an 89
Dakota Sport that turned the ABS light on, and I had to unplug the ABS
controller, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and it fixed it.
However, it was a completely different system than the Eagle's so I
cannot guarantee that will fix yours.

May be a bad ABS wheel sensor. Happened on my 97 Concorde LXi. ABout
$280 to fix at the dealer.
