99 T&C accelerator pedal hangup/hesitation

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Frank Boettcher, Jan 12, 2004.

  1. My 99 T&C has developed an irritating hangup when stepping on the
accelerator. Seems to have significant initial resistance then when
finally releases you have the too much pressure resulting in a
    jackrabbit start.

I've lubricated everything from the pedal to the pivot pin on the
    plate in the throttle body.

Oddly enough it is not there when the engine is not running. Pedal is
smooth as glass through the whole range.

    Any thoughts?

You might have a bad motor mount. Does the cruis work? Cruise might be doing
something. Try just turning on ignition and see if it happens.
