95 Cirrus w/ intermittent speedometer

    1995 Cirrus with an intermittent speedometer. At the time the speedo is
    lying on zero, there is a box that encircles each of the gear numbers /
    letters on the front panel.

    P R N D 2 1 all have a solid box around each .... like it was in each of
    the gears simultaneously. Shutting the engine off and restarting will
    restore normal operation.

    Any ideas? This is weird.

    Good guess, but it turned out to be faulty TCM and 12 Volt TCM relay.

    All better now.
