I just bought this car about 2-3 weeks ago, and I usually get around 21-22
    mpg.

My old Thunderbird with a 5.0L HO got between 24-25 MPG in the city.

I would think a 3.0L should get MUCH better mileage.

Is there anything I can do to boost the MPG?

I added a K&N filtercharger, and that's what took me from 19 MPG to 21-22
    MPG.

    Thanks

I have a 95 and that seems about right unfortunately...one thing you can do
is to give it a nice tune-up. I changed the spark plugs, wires, distributor
cap, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, oil change, coolant and tranny
flush and my mpg seemed to go up substantially.

  3. I got 28mpg on a 3,000-mile highway trip last month with the 3.0 in my '92
Spirit, a much heavier car than your '94 LeBaron. However, my '92 had the
4-speed overdrive automatic and your '94 may have the much more robust but
    less fuel-efficient 3-speed.
Complete tuneup including a careful service job on the crankcase
    ventillation system.
No, your dirty original air filter was dropping your mileage down to 19.
All that "filtercharger" is going to do is allow more crap into your
engine -- you don't get 3mpg better with the K&N garbage than you do with
    a clean proper filter.

Why the weight difference, aren't we talking the same body?

    Thanks.

My 1991 LeBaron with 3.0V6 is consistent at 24MPG around town; has been since I
bought the car new 14 years ago. I just checked the MPG last fill up, and it
    was 24.02MPG.
I do use Premium unleaded, and change plugs and wires every 50K miles.
Now, my CrownVic 4.6l V8 never ever got more than 18MPG around town.......

  6. No reason to use premium fuel in that engine in that car. You're wasting
    money.
