We can drive this without much trouble small distances. If we go to
far or use the air then the van will overheat. The coolant is full in
the radiator. Not sure how full it's supposed to be, but it's about
touching the radiator cover when I take it out. Is it to full? Talked
to a couple people and it could be the thermostat, or the Water pump.
Thermostat is cheaper to replace as a starting point so I want to do
that. But, where is it? Can anyone tell me? A picture would be lovely,
but a general idea would be great as well.

Also if anyone can tell me I am even right here.. that would be great
    as well.

do, go ahead and change the thermostat since it doesn't cost much.then be SURE
that both,if you have two, cooling fans are working.next also check to be sure
that the temp sensors are also working.and last but not least change water
    pump if needed.

What shape is your radiator in? If the fans are both running and the
thermostat is working, then I would next look at the radiator before looking
at the water pump. Being a 1994, if it was not well maintained or if the
water in the area is very hard, you could have mineral deposits that are
restricting flow through the cooling fins.
