My 88 New Yorker 50/50 power seat is acting up on the drivers side. This uses a 3 armature
motor and the motor is working fine however the cable that drives the front of the seat up
and down is slipping at the transmission side of the cable (the drive at the seat track).
The connection at the motor is firm and tight. I can feel the cable turning when I apply
    power to the motor.

Are the cables attached to the drive transmission with a set screw or is the cable end
squared off and just pushed into a slot ? Trying to figure out if this is a busted drive
cable or a seat track transmission problem.

    Thanks

    Steve
