300M: remove cup holder or console

Discussion in 'Chrysler 300' started by Minnie Bannister, Apr 30, 2004.

  1. Somebody put a small object (don't even know what it was) in one of the
cup holders on our '02 300M, and when the cup holder was closed, the
    thing fell down inside.

How do I remove the cup holder, or the whole center console if
necessary? I removed the two screws at the top front of the console, but
the cup holder part is still captive at the bottom front. Even removing
the three screws inside the console at the bottom did not allow me to
remove the whole thing. What's the secret?

    Minnie,
The pieces to the puzzle that you are missing are that you have to
remove the shift knob (requires loosening of one allen - or torx, I
forget which - head screw) and the shifter bezel. That will allow you
access to the two screws at the front bottom of the cup holder assy.
Once those are removed, it just lifts out.
