    Hi All,

My 2001 Town and Counrty Mini Van recently started having intermittent
window problems. This sometimes only affects the driver side,
sometimes only the passenger side, sometimes both!. We typically roll
down a window 1/4 or 1/2 the way, then, for now apparent reason, it
won't go up. No motor sounds, nothing. The switches appear dead.
Sometimes the driverside will do this. It won't go up, we try the
passenger side, it won't go down. After a few days, they both work
fine. Or sometimes slamming the door makes it work, one time I grasped
the window out of pure exasperation and pulled and pushed and then it
worked. Othertimes, none of this helps. It's like the beast has a mind
of its own. All the fuses are okay, (never blown.) We have never
rolled the windows all the way down when this happens, so it hasn't
been too bad this winter when they stop working and its only a couple
    inches down.
    What is causing this?

Wire or wires in the drivers door to the master window switches have
become intermittent. Possibly even the master window lock switch is
    intermittent.

Similiar problem in wife's 98 LE. Passenger side window would not go
down for weeks from either front seat. Finally stumbled upon fix, but I
do not know how permanent it is.

First move switch to opposite position you want window to move, then
move switch to desired window position. I suspect my problem was
corrosion or dirt in driver's side switch which obviously also affected
    passenger side switch.

Pls reply to the group and let us know if this helps..
