Yeah, remember when cars had gauges labelled "Amps" or "Alternator",
"Temp" or "Temperature", "Fuel" or "Gasoline", "Oil" or "Oil Pressure"?
Some of them had indicator lights that said "BRIGHT" or "BEAM", or "AMP",
or "GEN" or "OIL" or "TEMP" or "HOT". And the switches were labelled:
"LIGHTS" "WIPERS" "LIGHTER" etc.

Nowtimes, everything's represented by icons EXCEPT for the warning light
that says "BRAKE", which is a requirement of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standard 101 (Controls and Displays). It's OK for the light to display the
international icon that looks like (O) (!), but it also has to say
"BRAKE".

 

On the fuel gauge, the variation in turning is exactly the same when
turning left and turning right.....that previously led me to believe
that it was an issue with the sending unit in the tank.

I don't know what' s up with the temperature gauge, but it doesn't vary
with turns, only with idling and moving.

 

Probably correct. This is going to be a costly fix, since the sender is
built into the fuel pump assembly.

Could indicate cooling system flow issues, or just gauge system issues.

 

My 87 has words on the 4 A/C outlet selection buttons.
92 has blank buttons with icons on background.
It looks like just one more form of communism being pushed
down our throats.
I'd rather have foreign words than international icons.
Maybe it is because so many people can't read!
I'm gettin' mad, my AGUA is getting over 100.

I have a 91 Acclaim with over 152,000 on the 3.0. Check both sides of
the dip stick for a reading, Keep checking the oil when you drive and
notice if it burns or leaks. I had a leak from the cam plugs and it
cost about 3.00 to fix and an hour of time.

My oil gauge (replaced the sending unit) always reads low.
