Could someone enlighten me as to how you remove the rear brake drum on a 1995
Neon? I have a rear wheel that is binding and I am supposing it is either
something in the brakes or the bearing...if anyone has an info relating to any
of the above please reply here or via email.

    thanks

Release the parking brake. Some cars have a star washer type retainer on one of the
wheel studs. If equipped remove it.If the drum does not pull off remove the rubber
plug from the upper inside of the brake backing plate.Rotate the self adjuster
starwheel in an upward direction with a screwdriver to give more clearance between
the shoes and the drum. The drum should now pull off.I think the correct direction
for the starwheel is upward:As you adjust it try rotating the drum:If the drum
starts to drag go the other way.Good luck.

Do those models not have non-reusable hub nuts?
