    Hi,
A while back Steve M on this forum suggested replacing the pressure transducer
sensor to cure a problem I am having with my radiator fans turning on when they
are not supposed to. I thought I would try it. I found the three wire sensor
attached to the low side of the ac system tubing. Not sure how to replace it,
if it is threaded into the tubing or what. Guess I won't know till I pick up
the replacement and study it. The Haynes repair manual doesn't even acknowledge
the part. Couldn't find nothing online either. My question is, can I replace
this part without losing all the refrigerant from the ac system? And if all the
refrigerant leaks out, could I just quickly replace the part and recharge the
    system without any damage?

Yes, it is threaded in and unscrews.
Yes, it will come with instructions on the wiring. The Haynes repair
    manual sucks.
The factory manual said I could change it without evac the whole ac system.
There is a plate that is supposed to seal off the system when you remove the
sensor. On mine it partially blocked it and there was freon leaking out so
I just quickly reinstalled the new one and I was ok. I lost a little freon
and just put some in to replace it. (I use a gage here for accuracy)
although the proper way is to evac and refill with the correct amount.
You should be able to do it. I did.

    Hi Steve M,

Thanks For replying once again! I finally replaced the air pressure transducer
and it fixed the problem! Thank you so much for your help. I did the wiring
alteration and all with the heat shrink tubing and all. Went well. I am so glad
you replyed, this problem was driving me nuts and I was about to get it
serviced. But it is a thrill to be able to fix it yourself and save a ton of
cash. Air is working now and the radiator fan is not turning on continuously.
I hope you have a great New Year!!!!!!
