1994 Chrysler LHS Tranny question

I have a 94 LHS(3.5L) with 121,000 miles on it. he
transmission was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. I'm having
a problem with it. It happens from a stop and
it doesn't happen everyday. Here is what happens:
When I pull the car out of the garage it starts off in
second gear. I will then stop turn the car off and
re-start it. It then shifts perfect. Remember it
only happens once in awhile. Besides this problem the
transmission shifts great. Also I have replaced both
speed sensors. Any help would be apreciated.

 

You have described my 91 caravan exactly. About once a month, it does
exactly as you say. On a cold start the car stays in 2nd gear until I
stop the car, restart and then the problem won't show up again for
another month.

I may have a related problem. This one happens daily. On a cold
start, I'll pull out of the garage and drive to the corner (stop
sign). As I attempt to accelerate, the car sounds like its in neutral.
I let off on the gas and try again with no problems. After that, I
could drive it for hours and it works fine like nothing was ever
wrong. At 100K miles, a few quirks but still a pleasure to drive.
Does this sound like a common problem with older A604's?

 

As you probably know, this is the symptom of all computer complaints. It
goes to 2nd gear only any time the computer is unhappy. So if you want to
know what the computer is seeing, you'll have to hook up to the scanner of
course.

You mentioned something about a scanner? They did hook up there DRB to it
came up wih no codes. Is that what your talking about?
