    No, OP is correct. In 1960, Dodge revised their range to incorporate a
    new, smaller model, the Dart. This was available in three trim levels;
    Dart Seneca, Dart Pioneer and Dart Phoenix.

    The full size Dodge range for 1960 was reduced from three (Coronet,
    Royal and Custom Royal) levels of trim to two. The Matador was a
    one-year-only entry level full-size Dodge, below the Polara in the
    pecking order, but sharing its body and mechanical elements. For 1961,
    the Matador was dropped, leaving the Polara as the only full-sized
    Dodge.

  5. Both posters are correct. I believe that the Dodge version shared the
    same body as the Dart did for that year. AMC used the name in the
    early 1970's.

    AMC used Hornet for one of there models, which had been used by Hudson
    in the early 1950's. They also used Pacer which had been used by
    Edsel.

  7. There was also an AEC Matador, but that was earlier and somewhat different.

    somewhat different.

    That was basically a lorry with an AEC bus chassis and
    mechanics.
