'06 Sebring backup lights

    I have a 2006 Sebring with 2.4 4 cyl and auto trans,122,000 miles. If the trans is shifted from park to reverse the backup lights work normally. If shifted thru neutral to reverse no backup lights. I've looked in Shopkey to see where the backup light switch is at but can't find anything. I've seen many electrical complaints with these cars but haven't seen any other listings online with this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
